Ask Rick Van De Riet, Namaste Pure Design Salons founder, how he decided on the name of his hair salons and spa, and he’ll reference the meaning of Namaste: “I honor the divine in you.”
Van De Riet opened the first Namaste hair salon facility in 1993 in the spirit of that belief and on the principle of the legend of the Jagannath, a Hindu deity.
His aim? To create a highly personal, welcoming environment that honors the best in each staff member and guest.
All Namaste staff members are focused on providing hair cuts and salon experiences that leave men and women feeling better than when they arrived. The three Namaste Salons and Spa in Denver, CO are aligned with Aveda and its holistic corporate mission of global wellness and community.
Hair Stylist & Spa Training
Commitment to quality service and a driving spirit led Van De Riet and partner Tommy Pernell to establish a path of growth with Namaste Pure Design Salons through education. Hair stylists and spa staff members consistently attend training and workshops to explore the most current and up to date techniques in hair cuts for men and women, and new spa products and services.
Hair Consultation & Hair Cuts for Men & Women
Every guest is “honored”: During each personal consultation, hair stylists educate clients on how to maintain new hair style looks at home.
Salon Hair Cuts & Styling Specialties
After more than 20 years of service to the local Denver community, Namaste Pure Design Salons feature:
- An Aveda hair salon on 9th Avenue, founded in 1993
- A combination hair salon and spa on Broadway, which opened in 2009
- An Aveda training salon for new hair stylists, that launched in 2007 (at the 9th Avenue location) and moved to its new location on Broadway in 2011
Van De Riet says he focuses on “fostering the spirit of growth for employees and presenting guests with the exact the hair cut and style skills they’re looking for. We honor the divine in you.”
